Today I'm here for Tuesday tea - Tea Cup Tuesday and Tea Time Tuesday - with this set of Vista Alegre cups, two coffee cups and two tea cups, all of them decorated with landscapes.
This first one has a very naif, almost childish painting and may have been inspired by the waterfront landscapes that surround the buildings of Vista Alegre Factory, in the southern part of Aveiro sound.
But the familiar look ends here because once again the buidings suggest other environments, further north... The sprig that half-frames the scenery conveys a very special and charming look.
Finally, the last one in the series has again a landscape that can be found in Portugal and in this case the buildings are also familiar to us.
The backstamp on the left belongs to the tea cups and the one on the right to the coffee cups, both used by Vista Alegre in the period 1881-1921.
