Chávena motivo "pente" da Vista Alegre - "Pente" (comb) motif tea cup by Vista Alegre

    1. Thanks, Beth and welcome here, again!
The second cup isn't mine, I just brought it here for being a later edition of my cup, by the same maker.

  2. Hello Maria,
the first cup is really amazing. The special shape of the upper rim of the cup and the handle are charming. And the detailed painting is nice and more exquisite. The floral one is a bit too much pattern but also very charming. So nice you found the matching pieces. Thank you for providing the information and the wonderful pichtures.
    Best greetings, Johanna

    1. I'm glad you agree with me about the beauty of my tea cup, which is the first one, of course. The one I broke was just an unmatched cup and now I got the same cup with the saucer as a Christmas gift. Lucky me, right?
Have a great week, dear Johanna.

    1. Hi Pamela,
Only the first cup is mine - Google Translator is definitely not reliable - and I believe it's over 100 years old; the second, by the same maker, is about 50 or 60.
      Hugs and thanks for visiting.

  5. Hello Maria,
What a lovely cup and a fine gift! I am sorry to hear about the earlier cup being broken. That has happened to me once before too. This cup is really lovely, and apparently quite old. The newer example is pretty too.
    Hugs,
    Terri

    1. Yes, Terri, it was a fine gift and a better replacement than the earlier one, which lacked the saucer ;)
I'm glad you liked both cups by Vista Alegre.
Thanks for visiting and for hosting Tea Cup Tuesday, my friend.

    1. I know, Ruth, that you also appreciate these older pieces. I was struck by luck when my cousin found this cup and saucer, exactly the same as the one I had broken, and gifted it to me for Christmas.
Thanks for your nice comment and for hosting Tuesday Cuppa Tea.

  7. Hi Maria,
Love the first cup as the decoration makes the cup look so soft, like fabric and tassel.

I hope you will find the same cup as replacement.

I see that the translator isn't helping much, that's why for some time now I've been answering to all the comments...
I needn't find a replacement because the broken cup was an earlier one; this one, exactly the same, which was a gift, is perfect :)
      Thanks and hugs

You're right about floral sprays ... they do seem to add the perfect touch to the most modest cups... Thank You for sharing your china...Hugs
